Airplane speed on wheels

On its 110th birthday, Bugatti decided to give a special gift: The €3.5 million machine that hit an amazing airplane takes off speed of 490.484 kph. The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport comes in a limited edition with only 30 unique copies of this beauty – all of them sold out! But, how much will owners pay for service and maintenance? Most probably the same as you and your next two neighbors paid for a brand new Volkswagen. So, is it worth it?

The price of beauty

Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport can cost nearly $500,000 Malaysia dollars every four years, according to Muhammad Al Qawi Zamani, a Bugatti enthusiast from Malaysia who lives in Singapore. He visited one of the Bugatti stores with a goal to find out how much it will cost to service and maintain one of the fastest and most luxurious cars in the world.

According to the Car Show News, this is a summary of Muhammed’s investigation of maintenance of the Bugatti Chiron super sport car.

The first service starts after 14 months of driving. The technician will replace engine oil, oil filters, coolant, and sixteen drainage plugs. This would cost you from $21,000 to $24,000. A set of wheels will cost you a stunning $50,000 Then we move on to the tires which must be changed every 16 and 18 months. This will cost  you from $6,000 to almost $8,000 and these ones are cheaper one. If you like luxury, the price for  Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 will cost you from $35,000 to $41,000 After 42 to 48 months of ownership, Muhammad says that you will need to replace Garrett’s quad turbochargers which will cost you from $18,000 to $21,000.

A windscreen replacement cost from $51,000 to $59,000.

Adding it all up, in four years’ time, you will need at least three oil changes, two rim/tire changes, a set of brakes (discs/calipers), engine tuning plus a single replacement for the quad turbos, the air duct coolers, and the fuel tank. This means the total cost is roughly $407,577 to $477,498 And that’s excluding taxes, labor fees, transport, and travel costs.

But, consider that this is by the opinion of one client. Also, the prices are converted from Singapore Dollars to Malaysian Ringgits and then back to US dollars / euros, so take them as indicative figures. They also don’t include any taxes, labor fees, transport, and travel costs. Take these numbers with reserve.

Also, consider that the Bugatti Chiron Pure sport comes with a 4-year warranty, which includes one maintenance per year. Meaning, for the first 4 year you will not be charged a cent. Also, Bugatti introduced the extended warranty program, which cost $68,000 and includes Chiron and all its variants, including one annual visit to an official Bugatti service partner, roadside support and a special car care kit with cleaning and detailing materials. So what is the real price of Chiron service and maintenance? The truth is probably somewhere in the middle of what Muhammad was say it and what price of maintenance is according to Bugatti. Certainly, Bugatti has its price, but if you choose smart options, you will not spend a fortune on it.
